Elly Schobel is a native of Germany where she received her degree as a Bereiter FN (certified German dressage instructor). After training and competing in many different countries, she chose to settle in Aiken in the early 90s, right after becoming a US citizen. Elly has dedicated herself to promoting the U.S. bred dressage horse and has enjoyed great success with them. To name a few - Raison de Joie was 2005 United States Dressage Federation 3 year old Horse of the Year, Noteable was 2 time USDF Cosequin Champion, as well as winning from Fourth Level - Intermediare 1 before being retired to become a broodmare; Raison d'Etre qualified for 2004 Young Horse World Championship, was 2004 USET East Coast Selection Trial Champion for 6 year old, in 2008 they won the Intermediare 2 at the CDI Palm Beach Derby, as well as their very first Grand Prix.
Dame d'Allemagne, Lord Sisley and Foxcry Nicodemus have joined Elly's successful group of show horses - look for them on the 2009 Florida Circuit, as well as shows up and down the East Coast.
